We're getting some new hardware for RubyForge! Yup, thanks to Ruby Central, RubyForge should get a bit faster as soon as we can get things assembled. Thanks to David Craine for selecting and ordering the hardware, and here's Rich Kilmer overseeing construction:

And here are some of the internals of the box - it's a 2U chassis and you can see that there are two CPUs (hyperthreaded Xeons) and 6 GB of RAM, expandable to 12, which gets a thumbs up from me:

Still TODO: install the hard drives (hardware RAID 5 SATA 2, w00t!), move it to a colo, set up all the GForge software, and copy everything over. But good times ahead, and thanks to Ruby Central being a 501(c)(3), your contributions are tax deductible!
